Green Grass and bird song greets me in the morning!

I’m on a journey visiting family and friends in summery Sweden for a month. Lots of inspirations and new work will come from this.

I have noticed galleries are popping up in smaller cities that I’m traveling through. That is such a great feeling!
And of course I can’t help myself and just have to walk in and check it out.  Yesterday I saw an exhibition by Jessica Nordkvist (video installation; Life and Death) and Marita Nilsson (watercolor; landscape).

Below is some photos from my morning stroll earlier this morning 🙂

Artis in residence at Artseed – Hunters Point Shipyard

Two talented young artists Joesph Aponte and Marlon Sagana Ingram are working in Artseed‘s studio at the Hunters Point Shipyard.
They are both working with students from the Bayview and Hunters Point district, teaching art and inspiring youngsters about the environmental issues we are living in.

If you have the chance you should definitely check out their work!  Below are some photos that I took from their installations during the Hunters Point Spring Open Studio, 2012.
Enjoy!

Opening at Studio – tomorrow Saturday may 12th, 2-6PM

Come on over and party in this opening with us.. It’s a very ‘cute’ gallery with beautiful arts and craft pieces to show.  I’ll be there around 4 pm!    See you then 🙂
